Sony Pictures ‘The Interview’ earns more than $1 million on Christmas
Los Angeles: As per Sony Picture studio statement on Friday, United States Based Sony Pictures’ controversial comedy movie “The Interview” earned more than $1 million in limited release at the U.S. box office on December 25, Christmas.
The film ‘the interview’ , which was initially pulled from wide release following a cyberattack on the studio blamed on North Korea, was shown at some 320 theaters in the United States, less than 10 percent of its planned wide release.
As of Friday morning, The Interview had fallen to second place on Google’s listing on top Play Store films, with Guardians of the Galaxy taking first. Guardians has already made over $332 million in the US.
The Interview is a 2014 American political comedy film directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg in their second directorial work, following This Is the End.
