Aluplast of Germany Opens First Plant in Asia at Savli
VADODARA: Aluplast India Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Germany-based Aluplast GmbH, declared opening of company’s new plant on Friday at Manjusar in Savli GIDC.
The company has been marketing its uPVC fenestration solutions in India since 2008, and now it is going to open its first plant in Asia.
Dirk Seitz is the CEO of Aluplast. He along with company’s founder and Chairman Manfred J Seitz inaugurated the new plant. He said on the occasion that “We have so far invested four million euros for the first phase of the extrusion plant which is only one-fourth of the final layout. We plan to invest more than ten million euros at this plant phase-wise.”
company’s market manager Asia, Africa and North America Christian Feldmann said that “We have invested in Gujarat under ‘Make in India’ initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the state has good industrial policy, infrastructure and harbours from where we can ship our products faster to other markets in South East Asia including Singapore, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia among others.”
Firm’s new plant in Vadodara has capacity of processing nearly 4,000 tonnes uPVC per year for that all the raw material is imported from Germany.
