IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals captain Ajinkya Rahane has been fined for breaching the Code of Ethics. The penalty has been imposed on the Rahane for the slow over rate by the team in the match played against Mumbai on Sunday night.
In this match played at the wankhede stadium, Rajasthan had defeated Rohit Sharma’s captaincy team Mumbai by seven wickets. In the 11th edition of IPL, for the first time Rajasthan has been accused of violating the Code of Conduct in the slow over-rate case. In such a situation, Rahane was fined Rs 12 lakh on being the captain of the team.
“This was the first offense of the team in this session and Rahane has been imposed a penalty of 12 lakh on the code of conduct of the IPL.” The Royals will face Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow on the Eden Gardens.
