The entire storyline for Pippa is based upon historical events of the year 1971 during the Indo-Pak War. The film is a biopic on Brigadier Bal Ram Singh Mehta, a member of the 40th Cavalry Tank Squadron of the Indian Army, who fought against Pakistan in 1971.
The war film is based on the victory of India over Pakistan during the war of 1971 that resulted in the creation of a liberated Bangladesh. It was a landmark victory in which over 93000 Pakistani soldiers, led by Major General at the time of the Pakistan Army Amir Abdullah Khan Nazi surrendered to the joint forces of the Indian Army and Bangladesh’s Mukti Bahini.
The story of Pippa revolves in the year 1971, when a war veteran Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta and his family. He was the brigadier in the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron who took part in the battle for the tank of Garibpur and then went into the territory of the enemy and placed Bangladesh on the map of the world.
